Mini Happy Planner Dimensions

Isn't it cute?
The release of all of the NEW MAMBI Happy Planners has come and gone! When word circulated in the planner community that MAMBI would be releasing a Mini Happy Planner, I didn't think I NEEDED one. In my mind, I had already achieved "planner peace," but the lure of a shiny new planner was too much to resist.

After waiting for what felt like a lifetime, I was finally was able to buy one from Hobby Lobby. I made some modifictions and I could not be happier with my Mini Happy Planner!

I am so excited to start making some much needed planner inserts and maybe even some stickers. For those of you who want to give sticker and insert making a try, I have included a handy Mini Happy Planner dimension cheat sheet.

Did any of you take the leap and try out a Mini Happy Planner? What do you think?

  1. I made the switch. I had a Classic that was always seemed to me a little too much to deal with. And definitely too big to carry around. I set it on an easel in my house and, to be honest, rarely did things with it. I did add an expansion pack to let it run until next spring (but I think MAMBI has changed its product model to start at the beginning of the year now....). But once I saw the mini I knew it had the potential of being something I carried with me all the time -- particularly since I added blank pages available for the mini ARC from Staples to do bullet journaling in every week! (I've decided that I can't "decorate" a proper bullet journal as it should, so this is my compromise.) I *love* the Mini, though not the cover choices, and will likely make a new cover over the holidays. I did buy the expansion pack for it so that I could use it *now* and it's right now at my elbow, ready to add things. Can't wait for your stickers!!!!

    1. We are planner twins!!! I have inserted a Lechtturm1917 into the back of my mini and bullet journal too! So exciting to see others doing the same! I was like you. I wanted something more compact. I would have gone with just a bullet journal but desperately needed the future planning that a happy planner offered! When you make your cover show me! Thanks for stopping by!

    2. Hi lizeth. I'm a real newbie to planning and have the mini happy planner. I love it.!! Desperately need some more inserts though. What size lechtturm 1917 did you buy? And as I self punch the holes for the planner (living in the UK it's really hard to find the hole punch and other accessories!) Would I be able to do that? And a bullet journal? Which size is this? Very excited for all the pages I can now add x

    3. You can totally self punch. It just might take awhile! I used the A5 size and cut it down. It was a production but worth it. I love the paper that the 1917 uses!

  3. I too loved my classic size HP and thought I was good to go, and then those stinkers at Mambi put out a personal size ("mini")...OH THE TEMPTATION!!! And I couldn't resist! Which the nice thing is I can still use most of my original HP accessories and have even taken some of the original size and trimmed them down to fit into my mini, so it's not so big a loss.... So now I am in the process of changing everything over to the mini, of course right after I just put the cutest layout stickers into my November Classic size, oh well....I am leaving my classic size on my desk for now and carrying the mini with me, but I know it will not be long before I reduce to just one planner....hopefully with y'alls help we can be blessed to have just as many cute layout design printables to make our new mini HP as good as the original! Thanks for sharing your creativity and talents with us less fortunately gifted planners ;)

  4. I'm a total newbie to Happy Planners and I just recently bought a Mini! I would love to be able to add pages, but I can't find a punch for the Mini. Will the large punch work?

    1. Large will work! Just make sure you position it so you are only punching 7 not 9 holes!

  5. Also, have you made or found any stickers that fit the grid of the Mini's monthly view calendar?
